The Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Bashkir State Medical University" of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation was founded by the Decree of the Council of People's Commissars No. 289 of March 25, 1932, as a medical institute. By orders of the State University of Russia dated June 23, 1995 No. 953, and the Ministry of Health of Russia dated July 20, 1995 No. 209, the Bashkir State Medical Institute was renamed the Bashkir State Medical University. According to the order of the Government of the Russian Federation dated 12.10.2010 No. 1741-r, the University was reorganized in the form of the merger of the federal state educational institution of secondary vocational education "Ufa Medical College" of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation with subsequent education on the basis of the affiliated institution of a separate (structural) unit.
